Day two at Bateleur June 12 - Auntie Em!

Wow, wow, wow! It is all so fantastic! Like Disney's Animal Kingdom on steroids. Up at 6 this morning...woken by the butler, who delivered coffee for me and tea for Emily. A lovely breakfast...fresh OJ, papaya, pineapple, yoghurt, granola, scones, cheese, eggs how you want them, bacon, sausage, etc.

Our own private safari for most of the morning, as the Romanian newlyweds were off on a balloon ride. We had the most amazing elephant experience...a herd of about 10 crossed right in front of us, very slowly, eating grass along the way. Today we also saw our first hippos. And giant crocodiles. Wilson (our ranger) thinks that we will get to see the great migration in serengetti, based on where those million wildebeests are right now. It will be amazing. Another game drive at 4 pm today, and hopefully we will have a night drive tonight if it doesn't rain.

I'm writing this from the deck of my "tent" (they use that term very loosely here). Here's my view.....

Relaxing here with a glass of wine (in crystal, of course).....then it's off to lunch!
